Define the objective
Semantic search and guided questions translate the intended outcome into a concrete administrative procedure.
MedicalSign is being developed as a central platform for KV applications and approval procedures in Germany. It is designed to clarify responsibilities, explain requirements, reuse data, connect all authorised parties securely and prepare the appropriate submission route.

Anyone seeking to provide a statutory medical or psychotherapeutic service, change a practice structure or obtain an approval in Germany operates in a permanently fragmented administrative environment. The 17 regional Associations of Statutory Health Insurance Physicians use regional responsibilities, their own forms, terminology, portals, evidence requirements and submission channels.
The difficulty is not the individual form. It is the combination of research, responsibility, current versions, prerequisites, attachments, deadlines, signatures, queries and regional specifics. This structure will not disappear in the short term. It is part of the German healthcare system.

MedicalSign is deliberately being developed solely for the German market. Instead of pretending regional differences do not exist, the platform models them in a structured way. Users should work in one consistent interface regardless of which KV is responsible or how digital its submission process is.

The starting point should not be a form number but the intended outcome. A user wanting to offer ultrasound services, employ a doctor or change a site should be able to begin in plain language.
Semantic search and guided questions translate the intended outcome into a concrete administrative procedure.
Region, practice structure, specialty and role determine the responsible KV and regional procedure.
Required information, evidence, deadlines and special conditions are structured and explained.
Practices, employees, law firms and advisers can work on the same matter with defined roles and mandates.
Depending on the KV, the result is a digital data set, signature-ready document or complete print package.
Status, history, deadlines, follow-ups and documents remain centrally traceable.
The product combines structured KV data with a central practice and document record, role-based collaboration and channel-independent submission preparation.
Search by objective and topic instead of internal form names.
Automatic assignment of the responsible KV and correct regional procedure.
Complex requirements become understandable work steps without losing substance.
Master data, qualifications, sites and recurring evidence in one place.
Reuse existing documents in later suitable procedures.
Precisely defined access for owners, employees, doctors, law firms and advisers.
Due dates, open tasks and dependencies per case.
Editorially maintained processes with sources, versions and change history.
Changes, approvals and processing steps remain traceable.
Digital process, PDF, signature preparation or postal print pack according to KV requirements.
Law firms and advisers manage multiple clients and cases.
Internal regulatory backend for forms, rules, evidence, deadlines and channels.
A practice or MVZ remains owner of its data and procedures. Internal staff can carry out tasks; external service providers receive mandates for organisations, sites or individual cases. MedicalSign is designed to replace shared passwords and fragmented email chains with transparent permissions and approvals.

Each role sees the same process differently. MedicalSign is designed to bring these perspectives together in one platform.

You want to provide a service, obtain approval or implement a change without first navigating regional form landscapes.
For you: clear entry point, explicit requirements, reusable data and transparent status.
You coordinate several cases, documents, staff members and deadlines at once.
For you: central overview, tasks, approvals, document records and less duplicate data entry.
You need to standardise procedures across doctors, sites and organisational units.

You handle matters where standard processes need preparation and exceptional cases require professional review.
For you: multi-client workspaces, structured preparation, documentation and a clear boundary between workflow and legal advice.
You support start-ups, acquisitions, employment and approvals for multiple clients.
For you: parallel client work, repeatable processes and transparent collaboration.
Billing, transaction and specialised healthcare advisers often need the same documents and procedural information.
For you: controlled mandates and access exactly where needed.MedicalSign is conceived as a B2B platform for sensitive organisational, professional and document data. Tenant separation, role-based permissions, traceable changes, encrypted transmission and data minimisation therefore belong to the product core.

Launch will deliberately not be a nationwide big bang. We will first model selected KVs and frequent, economically relevant procedures, then expand coverage in a controlled manner.

Data model, roles, process logic, source structure and first KV procedures.
Selected KVs, guided procedures, practice records and first professional workflows.
Productive use with a reliable core set of procedures and defined support processes.
More KVs, more procedures, additional submission channels and integrations.
MedicalSign is a SaaS platform developed in Germany for KV applications and approvals. It combines process knowledge, clear guidance, document management, roles and submission preparation in one interface.
No. MedicalSign is intended to structure standard processes, provide information and reduce administrative work. Individual legal assessment remains with appropriately qualified professionals where required.
Long term, all 17 regional KVs are intended to be covered. The first stable version will start with selected KVs and procedures so quality and currency come before breadth.
Yes. The professional model is designed for multi-client work. External providers should be able to work for several organisations under clearly defined mandates without taking over client passwords.
MedicalSign will include its own editorial system. Sources, form versions, requirements, evidence and submission channels will be maintained in a structured way with change history.
Submission depends on the relevant procedure and the capabilities of the responsible KV. Digital channels should be used where technically and legally available; otherwise complete documents up to a postal print package are prepared.
The first stable version is planned for the end of 2026. Selected pilot users and professional partners are intended to be involved beforehand.

MedicalSign is being developed by Marvin Karg and Eric Steiner-Mantei, MBA. Together, they are building a platform designed to make complex KV procedures structured, understandable and reliably manageable for professional users.

MedicalSign is built around a simple standard: complex administrative procedures should become reliable, traceable and efficient for professional users.

MedicalSign is being developed in Germany for the German healthcare market – with clear product logic, a high standard of care and the goal of making necessary administration materially easier.
During development we are already speaking with practices, MVZ organisations, law firms and advisers. If you would like to contribute real procedures, join as a pilot user or shape professional requirements, we would be pleased to hear from you.
